CABOT CITRUS FARMSLocated in the central-west region of Florida, aptly known as the Nature Coast, Cabot Citrus Farms is set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty. The landscape is marked by dramatic elevation changes, rolling hills, sandy soil, and a canopy of sand pines, palmetto trees, and century-old moss-covered oaks. The destination features 56 holes of golf, including two regulation-length courses, Karoo and Roost, a 9-hole course called The Squeeze, and an 11-hole par-3 course named The Wedge. In addition to golf, the property offers luxury accommodations, real estate opportunities, elevated dining, a full range of off-course adventures, and various outdoor trails, embodying a reimagined vision for Florida golf and active wellness.Position OverviewAs a Host/Server Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibility is to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure that guests are seated in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with the waitstaff and management to ensure smooth operations, communicate guest preferences, and address any inquiries or special requests. The Host is an essential part of creating a positive first impression and ensuring that guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience from start to finish — staying proactive, supportive, and ready to pitch in across multiple areas.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or venue.Manage reservations and walk-ins, ensuring that guests are seated promptly.Answer the phone and respond to guest inquiries, including booking reservations and providing information about the menu and restaurant services.Communicate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth flow and seating arrangements.Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area.Handle guest concerns or requests and ensure they are addressed in a timely and professional manner.Ensure guests are comfortable while waiting for a table, offering menus or drinks when appropriate.Monitor the dining room and assist with guest seating, taking note of any special preferences or needs.Uphold restaurant policies, including guest safety and health regulations.Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining areas and bathrooms.Run food from the kitchen to tables quickly and efficiently.Accurately place dishes using seat numbers to maintain service precision.Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to ensure orders are delivered as intendedAssist with pre-bussing and clearing plates between courses.Reset tables promptly and to Grange Hall presentation standards.Refill water and assist with general guest needs when appropriate.Assist bartenders by bar backing— restocking ice, juices, glassware, supplies, etc.Retrieve items from storage or our cargo unit upon request.QualificationsHigh school diploma and/or experience in a related field preferred.Experience with information systems and inventory management.Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.Previous customer service or host experience is an asset.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.Knowledge of basic restaurant operations and etiquette is beneficial.Ability to maintain a positive and approachable demeanor at all times.Work ConditionsWork in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and wind.Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Communicate verbally with staff members and customers with/without the use of two-way radios.Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, etc.Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)10 Paid Vacation Days5 Paid Sick Days14 Company HolidaysMaternity and Paternity LeaveComplimentary Staff LunchEarly Earned Wage AccessGolf PrivilegesEmployee Discount ProgramAnd much more!Our greatest asset, and the key to our success, is our team.
