CASL:Cape Adult Sports League is excited to try to get Co-Ed Adult soccer going on Cape Cod. We are looking to gather people for pick up games, or if we get enough people, forming a league. There are several different options that we can do to get something going soon.
5v5 or 7 v 7 on a smaller field:
We could use a much smaller field and get mini games going. We have access to smaller nets, so the goalies would not be completely overwhelmed. This is a good way to get some action packed games going quickly. It will also minimize the running, which I must admit, would be a good thing for me.
3 v 3 v 3 World Cup Game
If we have an even smaller amount of people, or if we just want the game to be a complete offensive fury, we can get this game going. The way it works is that three teams of three take the field. We use one net and about the first twenty five yards of the field. A team needs to clear the ball past the 25 yard line, then bring the ball in to try to score. The other two teams are on defense. If they steal the ball, they clear it, and now the other 6 players are on D. It is a great game for working on your finishing touches, the goalies will never be bored, and you can be lazy at times to catch your breath.
11 v 11 Normal Game
If we get enough people, we can go with an old fashioned game of soccer. Depending on the amount of people that sign up, this can be a pickup game where we set teams upon arrival, or if a consisent crew, we can establish teams and develop this into a league.
I have played soccer my whole life and I have really missed the game over the past year. It is a great way to get in shape, meet new people, and have fun doing it. If you are interested in playing, please fill out the form below. We will create a program based on the responses. If you know people that would be interested, then please spread the
